The peppered moth is a primary example of natural Selection because we see that the black moth on the left of the tree is the same color as the tree/rock it is attached to. The peppered moth (on the left) is not able to disguise with the tree/rock it is attached to. This makes the peppered moth more likely to be food to predators that see it than the black moth.
