In this picture we see part of a strand of DNA. This DNA strand has an original version (top) and a mutated version(bottom). The difference between these version is that a point mutation has occurred within the C-G base in the picture and in result a T-A replaced it. This could cause a different protein to form or the gene to just be dysfunctional from the other genes.
